This year, we’ve seen a notable shift in B.C.’s new home construction landscape. Single-detached home registrations have fallen to 2,517—well below the five-year average of 4,146. Similarly, multi-unit building registrations are down to 19,994 from 22,347. Metro Vancouver now accounts for 36.6% of single-detached construction, underscoring the region’s ongoing significance in the provincial market.
